weekend in review...on a thursday.

How can it be Thursday already?

Time just needs to stop for a bit so I can catch up with, well everything.

This is pretty much a review of the past week, the weeks run into the weekends when you have a wee one and you kind of just lose track of time. I remember this happening with Bennett so I know I'll get my sense of time back eventually.

Anyways...

Somehow I had an allergic reaction in my eye which caused pink eye. I wasn't contageous but it hurt like none other and I sure looked awesome/swollen/red. My vision is still a tad bit blurry but other than that it has healed nicely.

I made this strawberry rhubarb crumble with rhubarb from our backyard...it was so good.

I'm pretty sure I had the world's largest rhubarb leaf:

(Chris isn't a fan of rhubarb so I've slowly been eating it up by mixing it into my oatmeal in the mornings)

we went to our favorite pizza place American Dream:

(they have the best pizza/breadsticks ever)

and we had more snuggles:

yesterday Kira and I met up at Salt and Straw.

I actually didn't get ice cream for once, but I did have an amazing mocha plus B and I split a couple of their super tasty house-made pastries:

Buckley slept the whole time:

(I forgot how nice it was to take a kid out without them being crazy/toddler-like)

B had to have a piece of candy that he saw when I was paying,

strategically placed right in front of his face.

I wasn't willing to put up a fight:

Yesterday we hung out in our (very overgrown) backyard and Bennett decided to have a conversation with the bees. He's never been stung so clearly, he didn't understand when I told him to be careful.

This is him yelling "hey bugs you hungry? Talk to me!":

and we also got a sneak peek into the amazing pictures that Abi took a couple weeks back:

She captured his sweetness perfectly.

It's finally naptime for all of us...

instagrammed.

Did you know that you can Instagram your pictures without posting them to your feed? If you turn your phone on airplane mode then Instagram your pictures as normal, your picture will be saved to the photo album on your phone and not on the IG feed!

Pretty cool huh?

I'm guessing not everyone wants to see their feed packed with the Hardesty boys, though they are stinkin cute if you ask me.

weekend in review.

Eventhough this was a long weekend, it feels like it went by way too fast. It was really nice to have Chris home for three days to help out...going from one kid to two has been an adjustment for all of us, which is only compounded by the lack of sleep.

(we laugh when we think back to when we brought Bennett home, because it seemed like the end of the world to us. Looking back on it after bringing Buckley home with a needy toddler, going from zero to one was a cake walk!)
