Okay this post has the potential to be confusing, but since I'm doing these a little differently, this one starts out with what we did last week, starting with the previous Friday...
Friday was grocery shopping day.
Sometimes I feel like we need a banana budget...these are our bananas for one week:
(about 30)

Chris and I snuck away for a quick date night on Friday.
We grabbed some dinner at Whole Foods:
(Chris got a burrito and I had half of a custom sandwich with soup...
I could seriously eat custom deli sandwiches everyday)

Friday night Bennett fell asleep with a book on his head:
Everybody napped at the same time on Saturday and when Bennett woke up he brought every stuffed animal he owned and put them on our bed:
Saturday night we went to Lardo for a going away party for some of our friends.
It was fun to hang out with friends we don't see everyday, and it was very nice to have conversations without chasing around the boys!
Sunday we did some yard work:

We've been working on pulling out a bed in our back yard that is completely overgrown and unmanagable. We're hoping to replace it with grass soon:
Almost done:
We dyed easter eggs:
We enjoyed our first taste of summer over a couple of days this last week:
and Friday night we celebrated Chris' birthday early by going on a hike in Forest Park.
We got sandwiches from New Seasons on our way up and had a picnic at the top of our hike overlooking the creek and an amazing old moss-covered stone building:
(did you know that you can call in your order ahead of time and just run in and pay for them at the deli?)
(Did I mention that we like sandwiches?)
(more pictures from the hike later this week, because it was amazing)
Today is this guy's birthday:
Happy birthday to the best guy I know.
(Insert mushy stuff here.)
I SO wish you didn't have to work on your birthday, we will enjoy this amazing weather for you! Thank you for sacrificing for our family so that I CAN enjoy this weather with the boys.
I love you Chris!
Happy Monday Friends!
I've been buying insane amounts of bananas recently, too. I can't get enough! Have a great week! :)
We are definitely a banana-eating-sandwich-ordering- family too! Oh my goodness. And New Seasons sandwich pick-up is one of my favorite life things! So so good! xoxo
Hey Becca--I stumbled upon your blog while searching for a recipe for turkey burgers using TJ's Soyaki. 35 minutes later I was still clicking through your past posts. You've gained a new follower! Love that your love for Christ shines through your posts. A fellow sister in Christ, Whitney
