I love you dream kitchen
I've long thought about what my dream kitchen would look like...modern, vintage, rustic, white, stainless, concrete, wood, open shelving with pops of color.
It wasn't until I saw
this kitchen at Apartment Therapy's
the kitchn that I saw my dream kitchen embodied.
This family also lives in Portland and maybe one day they will sell their house and it will be all mine! (a girl can dream alright?!)
I could finally display my lovely latte
bowls on these:
love the West Elm pendant globe lights:

gone will be my days of electic burners:

concrete counters that overlay the sink...oh my:

I have to stop myself from staring at this Kenmore Pro fridge:
so simple and lovely:

so. much. counterspace. :

I love me a giant island:

Let's just pretend that's Bennett watching me get his snack ready ok? ok.
I know you've heard of AT's
ohdeedoh (which started out as
the nursery) but have you been to
the kitchn yet? check it out cause it's pretty awesome!
I love downtown but...
I saw these on
Design Sponge today and they made me wish I had a patio to put them on. Will somebody please buy them and enjoy them for me?! They are way too cute and cheap not to!
( I think prices are different depending on where you live)

kids chair 9.99

double glider 73.50

yellow adult chair 29.91

blue kids chair

side table 21.75
I can just imagine hanging out in the backyard of our midcentury house. Chris and I in the rocker and Bennett and our future babes in the kid chairs drinking lemonade and sun tea. Picture perfect!
Truck Furniture
I came across their
website today and immediately started drooling.
I want it all!
(and a house to put it in)

I especially love this last one...I really want to have an accessible bookshelf for Bennett so he can pick out books and read them without any help.
I'm sure all of their stuff it a pretty penny but all the info is in Japanese!
Why do all the good and simple pieces have to be so expensive?
Appliance Envy
It seem like all of our friends are buying houses. Don't get me wrong, I am very fortunate to be able to stay home with Bennett, but it would be awesome to be in our own place that we could make ours. It will be another year or so before we can do this but it doesn't mean we can't daydream!
So....
Lets pretend this is our Non-Existent House!:
(because we want to own an Eichler/Rummer someday)

Here is the front. Nice huh?

View from our backyard. Lovely ain't it?

Our living room
Our kitchen
And in our kitchen...

...we have the coolest cooktop ever!
And in our laundry room...

...an all in one washer/dryer!
I hope you liked our NEH (non-existent house). The best part is, we didn't have to spend a dime...we'll have you over soon!
