...and we're still waiting on little brother's arrival, though it will be this week one way or the other.
(apparently I make too nice of a home...or my boys are just very stubborn)
Onto our weekend...
We noticed that the IKEA couch we have had our eye on was being discontinued, and there were only 5 left at our local store, so we giddily headed over and ended up getting an awesome deal on it!
Sidenote: there's nothing more American than ketchup and mustard, but IKEA has the cutest ketchup and mustard ever:
(I wanted to buy a bunch of them just to decorate my kitchen with!)
and here's the new couch!
We are replacing the ugly IKEA feet with some midcentury inspired ones to make it look doubly awesome, just like this one.
The feet have been stained and they will go on tonight!
(I'll be sure to post an after picture)
On Thursday, B and I walked around the neighborhood for almost 2 hours.
I had some random contractions but nothing too exciting unfortunately.
I found this picture of my grandpa in 1959.
How awesome is that mustache:
Friday night my friend Lindsey pampered me at her salon before date night.
I got a much needed refresh on my color and she made my hair all pretty and curly-like:
The finished product:
(my hair never holds curl when it's straightened, but Lindsey made it happen!)
We went to Tasty 'n Sons for dinner and it was as awesome as ever.
We tried this coffee soda and it was so good!
The food...
grilled asparagus with an egg:
the special, meatball sub:
the cheesesteak sandwich with amazing fries:
the hubs:
For dinner Saturday night we went over to Craig and Lauren's.
In honor of Cinco de Mayo, Lauren made some awesome fajitas and we stopped and grabbed a buttload of horchata on our way over.
So good:
Our Sunday morning breakfast:
(Have I ever mentioned that I somehow am horrible at making breakfast foods? Chris happily takes on the breakfast role in this household, which of course always includes an espresso of some sort. I'm pretty lucky.)
After breakfast, I put on my new shoes so we could walk this baby out:
(No baby, but we got in some good exercise and playtime at the park while soaking up some sun)
Almost to the park, and excited to play with his new soccer ball:
Lastnight we went to church and just relaxed a bit before heading to bed.
I can safely say that this was our last weekend as a family of 3 and it was a good one, but we are ready to add little brother into the mix!
You looked great last night! And I was really admiring your hair, so dark and rich! I hope little brother decides to make an appearance soon! So great though that he's happy in your tummy. :)
All that food looks incredibly delish :]
Keep walking around -- I'm keeping my fingers crossed for you!!
PS -- love that white brick in your living room!
Thanks for the update... I've been checking in every day!
Do you have an induction date scheduled just in case he remains extra stubborn this week? I hope Buckley decided to come on his own!
Fun weekend! Ps I don't think your IKEA legs are ugly.
ahhh, final weekend sending you guys into the family four force:-) so so so excited! will be praying for you all this week! xoxo
