Saturday morning we took Chris' parents out to breakfast at Screen Door for their birthdays.
As always it was soo good.
Bennett got a new wagon.
During the inagural ride up to Safeway,
Bennett pretended to talk on my phone the whole way.
He's got a rough life.
Sunday morning we met up with my mom and bought appliances for the new house.
We got a great deal on a dishwasher and a washer and dryer!
Aren't they pretty:
We went to a couple 4th of July bbqs and Bennett throughly enjoyed himself.
After hunting for a few weeks, we finally found B a non-cheesy hat and sunglasses.
He's kind of obsessed with them.
My rice crispy treat pops for one of the bbqs:
Once it got dark, we met up with some friends at a baseball field for a big fireworks show.
We watched some fireworks but ended up leaving because I had a stupid migraine.
B wasn't as into the fireworks as I thought he'd be anyways.
They were pretty though:
Chris had Tuesday off and we all slept in and made lemon ricotta pancakes with blueberry compote.
They were the fluffiest/yummiest pancakes ever.
(recipe here)
After a weekend of bbqs, Bennett and I are headed out for a run around the waterfront.
It's about time Portland had consistient, summer weather!
Also, hop on over to Kira's blog Rain or Shine for my guest post today!
Bennett is so cute! I love the book he's reading in the wagon too haha. What a fun weekend! (besides the migraine, boooo). Those pancakes look to die for! Nice work!!
Is that photo of your actual pancakes or is it a styled one from the site you got the recipe? It looks like a professional food photo.
And, Bennett looks hilarious on the cell phone while Chris pulls him down the street. It totally looks like he is working on a business deal on his way to the office.
Thanks Kira! That's my picture. I really have enjoyed taking pictures of food for my blog but the light in our apt isnt so great for it. I can't wait to get into our new place and play around with it some more in better light!
You guys should really make those pancakes...they weren't complicated at all!
I'm making those pancakes, asap! You've got me drooling over here. And Bennett, oh Bennett. Cutest little fedora wearing tot ever. xoxo
what a cute little man you have! looks like you had a true all-american weekend!
That's the life reading books all day getting strolled around town while you talk on the phone. He's living the dream
Ugh! I've been such a horrible blog-reader this week! i love that picture of bennett flying in the air...and i love that he likes to read books in his wagon - too cute :).
