So many pictures from the last two weeks so I'm just going to get right to it!
We had a (very warm) picnic with friends and played at the new park in the Pearl:
Afterwards we cooled off in the water at Jamison Square:
We hung out in the field at the school by our house:
Buckley stood on his verrrry tippy toes to reach a dinosaur:
Chris and I celebrated our 7th anniversary on the 21st.
Can't believe this was seven years ago:
Him surprising me with a present:
(that he wasn't supposed to buy)
An Ipad mini:
(like my cute Orla case?!)
Saturday morning we celebrated!
It started out with breakfast at
Mother's:
We walked around downtown a bit, did the photobooth and checked out this cute new area across from the Ace:
Then we grabbed Ben and Jerry's and walked around and looked at giant sand sculptures at Sand in the City in Pioneer Square:
For dinner we got takeout from Porque No, our favorite:
Sunday morning Chris took Bennett to his first movie in the theater, Monsters University:
(Chris suggested to B that he should get up and run around while they were waiting for the previews to start, but he insisted on staying seated. Once they actually started he asked if he could run around...typical 3 year old!)
Posing with a little guy from Planes:
B actually fell asleep inside of a book:
I pulled out my old Viewmaster for Bennett:
(he calls the discs "CDs"...haha)
We explored the woods by our house:
Played in the tunnel:
Bennett gave us all stickers for our cheeks:
It's been really hot lately, so we've been cooling off in the pool:
Chris and his dad built an awesome fence on the side of our house:
Yesterday was a Costco day and B was being so sweet to Buck (whom I had to wake up), his arm was around him for most of the time we were there. These two boys are so cute together!
Happy Friday Friends!
Last week we went to a quaint little park on the lake in Lake Oswego with Craig and
Lauren. After scarfing down our picnic dinner, we headed to the water. Lauren and I played in the kiddie pool with the kids while we watched Craig and Chris jump off the diving board into the lake. I really don't like swimming in lakes (something about not being able to see the bottom, and when you do touch the bottom, it oozes up around your feet...gives me the heebie jeebies just thinking about it) so I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have gone in even if we were sans kids. Bennett kept calling the lake "the hole" and attempted going in with Chris once but didn't like it. I don't blame him.
Buck and Fern giving high fives:
We're all looking and smiling:
(Craig and Fern photobomb)
Bennett and "the hole":
Last week we also met up with our friends (and their kids, who happen to be friends) for fro yo.
The kid table:
For the 4th of July we went to our friend's block party.
We ate great food, met a ton of new people and did fire works.
Bennett and the sparkler:
Another successful family photo!:
The cats were exhaused from a long night of hiding from scary fireworks:
Chris had Friday off so we decided to go to the zoo:
Roooaaar:
Up close and personal:
We wanted to get a little treat after the zoo so we headed to Salt and Straw:
Love this one:
Friday evening we met The Carter's at the park, then went back to their house for dinner.
We decided to let the bigger kids watch a movie, while the babies played with toys and us adults actually got to play a game
(for once!):
Saturday morning Chris ran 18 miles, then we took the boys over to play at Chris' parents house while we had a little date (the first one in months!!!). I had been thinking about getting my nose pierced so I finally did it, then we grabbed thai food before heading to IKEA to gew a few things. NEWSFLASH: Ikea now has chocolate fro yo and you can get it swirled with vanilla! It's so good!
Lunch at Bamboo Thai:
Earlier this week Chris took the boys on a bike ride and Buck was determined to annoy his big brother by scrathing his nails on the mesh screen.
I love it:
(Sorry Bennett, that's what little brothers are for)
I'll leave you with this:
We are members of the zoo but Chris rarely gets to go with us because I typically take the boys on weekdays to avoid the crowds. A few weeks ago we decided to head to the zoo
(the whole 3 mile trek...we live super close) early on a Sunday morning.
We've never seen so many animals out and about...or found a better parking spot for that matter.
Family photo by the flamingos:
(not gonna lie, the pink birds are pretty boring)
The lepoards were awesome:
(and close)
Fun backdrop, awkward picture:
Playing on the stone animals:
The zebras were being shy:
"Gosh mom, can't you see I'm on the phone":
Us in a bubble:
(a very hot, stinky one)
Love these guys:
and this one too:
Have a good 4th of July friends!
