an inkling.

Every once in a while I get a major inkling (has anybody ever spelled that out before?) to bake. 
Right now would be one of those times.

I love to bake, it's one of my favorite things to do, but since Bennett was born I haven't baked nearly as much as I'd like. 

The oven in the new house is the original one from good 'ol 1954, and though it works, I'm pretty sure it's temperature is way off. I think I will be purchasing an oven thermometer before I do any baking, but until then I can figure out which one of these yummies I would like to make...

    I'm pretty sure you should have a baking marathon and make them all. Then you can invite me over to help eat them. It's a good idea.

    My oven is the same way! I am living in Chile, so all the ovens here run off propane - and the dials only give you a general idea of what the temp is, like 180-210 C. it's nuts! And to top it off they don't sell oven thermometers, so I definitely bought one last time we came up to the states. Happy baking!

    I was totally bit by the baking bug yesterday! Soooo, today I'm planning on picking up some ingredients and whipping up a frenzy! I just need to narrow down what I want to make, arrrrr! xoxo

    These all look delicious! (Especially the zuccini/nutella muffins!) The oven in our house is from 1920 or so; an oven thermometer is my best friend when baking.
