Our Christmases.

Christmas Eve and Christmas Day are always packed to the brim, so the past few years Chris, Bennett and I have been opening up our presents to eachother on the 23rd.

This year, since we had to take our tree down ten days before Christmas, we moved our vase of branches down to the ground right before we opened presents to get the full effect. Bennett really enjoyed pulling the ornaments off and trying to put them back on.

Last year at Christmas Benentt was only four months old so he couldn't really do much.
This year he was loving every minute of it! Christmas is so much better when A.) you are a kid and B.) you have a kid(s)...seriously!

Christmas Eve morning we went to Chris' parent's house for brunch.
Bennett's favorite thing to do this year was ripping off the wrapping paper.

After hanging out with Chris' family all day, we came home and walked two blocks down to the beautiful Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall where our church was having the Christmas Eve service.

It was beyond amazing.

After church, we drove up to my sister's house who lives 30 minutes north of us in Washington.
We watched my niece and nephew put cookies out for Santa and read The Night Before Christmas by the fireplace. We also stayed up way too late watching the best of snl Christmas clips, which I think needs to become a tradition.

In the morning (in that lag time where the grown-ups wake up and make coffee) Bennett may have opened a few gifts that weren't his due to his love of ripping paper.

He was (and still is) a sickie but had so much fun!

He really loved playing with the ribbons...

and string.

and he got some pretty cool gifts too!

I can't wait until next year...I'm sure it will be even more fun!
A very, very belated Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

I love that you cut out snowflakes for your gift wrap. It's so cute. Also, Bennett is beyond adorable in his little Christmas pj's!

Your son is so dang CUTE! I could eat him up.

My nephew was 10 months old, so next year we'll get the "Bennett experience" of him unwrapping presents when it's not the time. That'll be a blast - I can't wait.

Glad to see Christmas was great - hope the New Year is even better for your gorgeous family!
