Holy 100 posts Batman!

(I had been wanting to make a blog header with some of our new family photos and thanks to Carlotta's guest post over at the little things we do, I was able to make one just in time for #100!)

So 100 posts eh? Thats crazy. I started my little blog last winter when I needed a creative outlet while being all cooped up inside with a teeny baby. Back then I would do a new post just about every weekday. Now that Bennett moves faster than lightning and is constantly getting into things, I'm lucky to get one post in a week...which usually ends up being about our latest adventure. I would love to get back to posting more than once a week and do more posts on things that catch my eye like recipes, fashion, design, interiors, etc.

Regardless of how often I post or the content of my posts, it always amazes me how many followers I have that want to read about my not so exciting life!
You guys are awesome and please leave a comment if you want me to do future posts on anything in particular.

Anyways, enough with the mumbojumbo...

We have started putting Bennett to bed two hours earlier than we used to. This means that Chris and I actually have some time to spend together while we wind down from our days.

I'm pretty sure we have watched more movies in the last two weeks than we have in the past two years. Most of the movies are from our childhood (oh how movies have changed) and we have had so much fun watching them again that I thought I would share:

Look Who's Talking (1989)
talking babies. john travolta. late 80's fashion
(I guess completely missed the whole "baby out of wedlock" and "affair" thing when I was little)

Big (1988)
tom hanks. fun toys. so funny.
(I want his apartment!)

Wayne's World (1992)
wayne. garth. silliness.
(this was/is my favorite movie of all time because of the random silliness. Not so appropriate for a kid and I can't believe I was allowed to watch it, but clearly I turned out okay)

and just lastnight we watched
Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs (2009)
raining food. cute love story. good message.
(Though we remember the book from growing up, I'm not sure why we hadn't seen the movie because it is SO funny and good! Not your average kids movie!)

Seen any good movies lately? Please share!

Jeremy has never seen Wayne's World all the way through! That is crazy to me. Cute, huge header! I will be working on headers tonight actually. I'm creating one for my sister's etsy account. So I will basically be using Illustrator for about ten hours today if you count work. It's fun though!

    Love that header!

My favorite recent movie is Toy Story 3 - what a trilogy. If you don't shed a tear, you don't have a heart. It has all the qualifications of a truly great movie.

Other than that, I've been trying to watch a film from the Criterion Collection or equal status every week... I just watched Blue (from the french trilogy) which was beautifully shot, and pretty devastating, as well as Rosetta (which was also beautifully shot, and quite intriguing, although I'm not used to these ambiguous European endings.)

Ashley-I did it with the help of Chris using Picasa which is awesome! It gives you so much control to do what you want and it has a sweet 'collage' feature which is what I used.

Kira- Make Jeremy watch it tonight, he won't be disappointed! I guess the header is pretty big but I don't feel like messing with it again :) Good luck on the ones you are making...it is pretty fun!

Amylou-I agree, I was so surprised at how much I liked CWACOM!

Kelly- Yeah...Toy Story 3 was really good, plus I saw it in 3d which was awesome! I will have to buy it for Bennett when it comes out. I haven't heard of any of the other movies you mentioned but maybe I will check them out!

There is nothing wrong with big! I had no idea you could make something like that in Picasa. And, I have tried to talk Jeremy into watching it, but he doesn't seem too interested. I don't know what the deal is!

Kira- I think you guys need to come downtown for "dinner" and we can make Jeremy watch it. I had to watch that horrible zombie movie last halloween that he wanted to watch so that's the least he could do. I can't believe you have to talk him into watching it...it's so good and totally his sense of humor...unless he is 'above' it. :)

Congratulations on 100 posts Becca! I'm proud of you for taking the time to write, I really wish that I were that disciplined on my blog... Very cute header by the way!
